Attractions near our Umhlanga Bed and Breakfast
Ushaka Marine World has the largest waterpark in the Southern hemisphere, along with restaurants and shops. No visit to Durban and the North Coast would be complete without experiencing it.
We tested the shark cage diving and it was fun but we suggest you rather do the snorkelling which is less expensive and exciting especially as you snorkel with sharks.
Durban and Kwa-Zulu Natal's newest attractions is the Moses Mabhida Stadium. It is 15km from our guest house on the M4 highway towards Durban. I enjoyed the Sky Car which goes up one side of the stadiums arch to a platform at the top which gives 360 degree views of Durban and surrounding area.
I also did the Big Swing on the other side of the arch. This is an adrenalin junkies dream and It incorporates the Adventure Walk which is quite difficult. The jump was plain scary for me but the handlers were very good. The Big Swing is costly but was worth the one time experience.
The Umhlanga nightlife has an abundance of the best restaurants , offering every type of cuisine, as well as some of the hottest night spots in the North Coast region. One restaurant that we recommend highly is called Fish and is in Ridge Road Umhlanga. We recommended this restaurant to many of our guests and they loved it.
